Privacy Policy

ClosedTestLab (“we”, “us”) provides Google Play closed testing: our in-house team joins your closed test and uses your app on real Android devices. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and service, and what we do with it. Using our service is also governed by our Terms of Service.

We only collect what we need to run your closed test:

• Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• App and campaign details: your app's name, package name, category, icon, and description, your closed-test opt-in link, any testing notes you give us, your chosen plan, and your campaign's progress.
• Test accounts: if your app needs a login, the usernames and passwords you give us so our testers can sign in. Please use accounts made for testing, not your own.
• Payment records: your invoices, whether they're paid, and the payment method you tell us you used. We don't receive your card or bank details.
• Reviews: if you review a completed campaign, your rating, review text, the name you choose to show, and your country if you add it.
• Session data: when you're signed in, we record your IP address and browser type to keep your account secure.
• Messages: anything you send us by email.

• To create and secure your account.
• To run your closed test, track opt-ins, and show your progress in your dashboard.
• To review campaigns and contact you about your test.
• To answer your questions and provide support.
• To improve our service and understand how people find us.

Our testers are part of our own team. To test your app, they receive your app's name, your opt-in link, any testing notes you provide, and your app's test accounts if you add any. They don't receive your email address, your ClosedTestLab password, or your account details.

We only show your app on our public website if you turn this on for your campaign. When you do, we may display your app's name, icon, category, and testing progress. You can turn it off at any time from your campaign page, and we'll remove it from the site.

If you leave a review, we may show it on our website once we've approved it, with your rating, review text, the name you chose, and your country if you added one. To have a review removed, email us at hello@closedtestlab.com.

We don't sell your information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that host our website and database, send our emails, and monitor errors, only as needed to run our service. Error reports include your account ID but not your IP address or cookies.
• Payment services: you pay us through a money transfer service (such as Remitly) to our mobile wallet. Those services handle your payment details under their own privacy policies. We only see what arrives with the transfer, such as the sender's name, the amount, and any note. Never your card or bank details.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Authorities, if the law requires us to.

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We keep your account, app, and campaign information for as long as your account is open. Test accounts are deleted automatically when your campaign is completed, rejected, or cancelled. Sign-in sessions expire automatically. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and everything linked to it, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

We protect your information with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, encrypted storage for your app's test accounts, and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you if a breach affects you.

You can ask us to see, correct, export, or delete the information we hold about you. Email us at hello@closedtestlab.com and we'll handle your request.

Our service is for app developers and isn't intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email.
